PC Upgrading
PC Upgrades From £10
- If you cannot run the latest programs, or you are simply running
out of disk space, you may need an upgrade. This could be additional
memory, or a new video card. You may need an extra, or replacement,
hard drive. Or maybe the whole PC needs upgrading with new motherboard,
processor and memory.
- If you think you need an upgrade, we will be happy to give you
a free consultancy and quote, and conduct the upgrade in your own
home or office, or in our workshop. Either way, the charge is £20
per hour, plus the cost of parts. As a guide, a memory upgrade would
usually cost £10 plus parts, additional hard drive £20
plus parts and a complete motherboard, processor upgrade £40
plus parts.
- Transfer of data to a new hard drive incurs an additional charge
of £20, and it must be noted that Meerkat Computer Services
cannot be held responsible for any lost data that is not backed up
by the user. Therefore you must take reasonable precautions before
an upgrade is conducted.
- All our work is fully guaranteed for 12 months. Some parts, such
as hard drives, carry an extended warranty of three years. These will
be honoured, with you only paying for the labour after the first year.
- If for any reason, within the first month, you are not happy with
the work done, we will happily, at our discretion, 'undo' the upgrade.
You will only pay for the initial labour and a 10% restocking fee
for the parts.
